'Thinking Mans Gamer' Video Interview

A few weeks ago I did a video interview with Nick from The Thinking Mans Gamer. We talked about a whole bunch of stuff from my first games, to working in the industry and of course the development of Beat Hazard.

We talked for about 3 hours, but here's a cut down version of 46 mins:

I really enjoyed chatting to Nick, I tried to be as open and frank as possible so I hope there's something of interest in there.

Please allow for soundcloud or other cloud based libraries, other than that I love the different ideas for different challenges! Have on both Steam and Android now so would also be cool to track progress between the two.

Sorry for the late reply.
I'm currently working on an experimental F2P game. After that I'll be on BH2 full time.
So not any time soon really.

Yeah, things have moved more slowly than I would have liked, but that's game dev for you!

The F2P game is an Alpha and I'll be formally announcing it in a few months.

Once that's done I'll be on to BH2. Hopefully it'll move along quickly because a lot of the tech I've written for the F2P game will be used in BH2.

Okay I know I can be annoying but there are a few questions and suggestions I want to tell and ask you:
1.Are you working on BH2 and the F2P game at the same time?(the Steam post got me conffused)
2.I suggest you add SoundCloud instead of Spotify since Spotify is not available worldwide and SC seems to be easier to implement(Audiosurf 2 had it)
3.In the Steam forum post you we're talking about a Campaign Mode...how is that going?I have a suggestion about that and I'll wait your confirmation to know if you want to hear it or not so just tell me if you do...
(Yes I know I love to talk is just that I love BH so much and I'm very curious)

You don't seem to reply me so I'm going to tell my suggestions anyway...:
1.Campaign Mode:I think you can do a Chicken Invaders 2 inspired World Map you know with the Solar System's planets)and it should have missions like Shadow Operations Unit's ones...and maybe a boss fight at the end of every planet?(I suggest every planet should have 10-20 levels each and the ability to still choose your own songs)
2.Song verification like any other rhythm-based game:why?because you can set it to spawn easier enemies at the lowest volume points and harder or more enemies or bosses at the highest volume points...that would help a lot to improve the general experience
3.The ability to make the game play more songs one after each other in an order the player wants to...
That's all!I hope I gave you some ideas...

Let me know if you'll use any of my ideas...about the blog update I'm looking forward of seeing that F2P game...and Beat Hazard 2 too...but what we're you refering to about the F2P game having tech that will be used in BH2?Since the games appear to be incredibly different...

Even though the games are different they will share a lot, as with all games you need a renderer, UI, save/load, input, leader boards, achievements, sprites, sound, music, options, editors... etc etc etc.
