BHU is also in development for iPhone and iPad. It'll be one of the first games to use your own iTunes music to power gameplay.
Both version are being ported by the awesome guys at D3T.
Beat Hazard continues to blast to new platforms. I'm really excited to announce that the Mac version of BHU will soon be available on Steam and the App Store. Steam players who already own the PC version will get the Mac version for free too!

The Steam version will be out on the 18th next week. A non-Steam version will also be out on the Mac Sore a little later.

OK, so the Steam version is here, saw it pop up, never heard of it before but sounds awesome, checked out what some friends said, ready to go. Except that it appears the iTunes integration and Ultra bits are Windows only? Is his is a permanent state of affairs, or is thee an ETA on this?

iTunes support is in the Mac version. (It's native to the system)

Oh, great to hear, and thank you for the prompt reply. In that case, purchased (right now :)). I do think that you might want to update the DLC description though to prevent future confusion. A simple "This item not required on the Mac version" would do it for the "iTunes & m4a" item. I hope Ultra gets to us eventually as well, but the iTunes/AAC bit was the only deal breaker. Thanks again.

Yes, it is a bit misleading. I'll try to get it changed.

Ah, really? Rats, I could have just bought the pack then for a bit less rather then each piece separately? Ah well. Thanks for the heads up, I can let my friends know this way. While it would be nice if it had better playlist integration using the APIs available on the Mac and supported Unicode, it's still been wicked fun so far, and it's good to know Ultra is working. Looking forward to trying it. Thank you!

It's not looking good for Android. We did an evaluation and as it stands the OS won't allow apps to decode music using the hardware. We tried a software solution but that was painfully slow (even on the fastest Android device).
